Yick Yuk Leung, age 94, of Monkton, Maryland, passed peacefully in her sleep listening to music and bible verses on November 2, 2024, at Brightview Avondell in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Hong Kong, she was the beloved daughter of the late Stephen and Ana Ho Lo and the cherished wife of the late Leo Yuen Chit Leung. Known affectionately as Margaret, she was a parishioner of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
Margaret was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with them as often as she could. She and Leo loved traveling and visited many countries together throughout their 60 years of marriage. Margaret was an incredibly talented artist who found joy in painting, sculpting, embroidery, and needlepoint. Her talents extended to the kitchen, where she shared her love for traditional Chinese cuisine with friends and family. Margaret also adored Broadway musicals which she would attend regularly while living in New York.
She is survived by her loving children, daughters Magdalene Leung-Andersen and Maria Leung, and son Lester and his wife Dawn Leung, and son Leonard Leung. She was the proud grandmother of Katie Andersen, Grace Leung, Paul Leung, and William Leung. Margaret is also survived by her brothers, Louis Lo and Peter Lo.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Leung, and her brother, Lai Lo.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Margaret's name to a charity of their choice, honoring her generous and compassionate spirit.
