Woodrow (Woody) Barr

WOODROW “WOODY” BARR, age 63, of Edgewood, MD, died on March 12, 2006 at his home after a long illness. Born in Morgantown, WV, he was the son of the late Woodrow Roy and Adah Pauline Fortney Barr. He served his country in the United States Marines. He retired from Northrup Grumman Corporation in Glen Arm, MD in 1990 after 27 years of service where he was a machinist.

Mr. Barr is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara M. Stone Barr of Edgewood, MD; one son, Troy Alan Barr and his wife, Kim of Edgewood, MD; one brother, Andrew Barr of Dearing, GA; one sister, Pamela Jean Schmiel of Baltimore, MD; and three granddaughters, Gabriella A. Barr, Myia R. Barr and Tira A. Barr, all of Edgewood, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Joyace Ann Schmiel.
