Wilma C. "Billie" Brower, age 90, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on August 4, 2024, at home in New Port Richey. Born in Lizemore, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lecta (Legg) Price and the wife of James Wood.
Billie had a passionate love for life, and she especially enjoyed cruising and traveling. In her earlier years, she delighted in boating and cruising locally. Family meant everything to her, and she found immense joy in taking care of her children, continuing to support them even in her later years. She cherished every moment spent with her family.
Billie is survived by her loving husband, James Wood; her sons, Samuel (Patricia) Teate and Jeff (Laura) Teate; her daughters, Cheryl Whited and Robyn (Rolfe, Jr.) Garrett; and her stepdaughter, Aleta (Al) Daley. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis (Betty) Price, and her sister, Ida (Jim) Thompson. Her legacy continues with her grandchildren, Amber (Zach) Hamilton, Ashley Muir, and Reba (Nate) McKinzie; her step-grandsons, Lawrence Daley, Justin Daley, and Andrew Mercaldo; and her step-granddaughters, Ronda Price, Megan Canterbury, and Chrissy Grove; and great grandchildren, Layla, Ross, Xander, Addy, Jameson, Gwendolyn, Rowan, Wyatt, Nathan, Callan, and Brantley.
In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her sons, Wilmer Teate, John Teate, and Robert Teate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Harford County, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047.
Billie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
