William Edward Robbins, Jr.

April 25, 2025 — April 17, 1962

Thy will be done! On Friday, April 25, 2025, William Edward Robbins, Jr., of Bel Air, MD, fought his final earthly battle at the UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He now begins his new chapter with loved ones who passed before him, including his father, William Edward Robbins, Sr, and his parents-in-law Darwin and Doris Knechel. Rest assured he is preparing to greet us when our time comes.

William began his life on April 17th, 1962, in Waverly, Tioga County, NY. Born the eldest of three brothers, John “Jay” Robbins, of Sayre, PA, Randy Robbins and his wife Shelly, of Waverly, NY, and Scott Robbins and his wife Kimberly, of Wellsboro, PA. He was beloved by his late father Bill Robbins Sr and his mother Betty Rose (Perry) Blair and her husband David, of Waverly, NY.

Marrying the love of his life, Bonnie Sue (Knechel) Robbins, on May 7, 1988, Willie was a loving husband and father to his three daughters, Ashley Tucker and her husband Nicholas, of Railroad, PA, Stacey Lhotsky and her husband Jeffrey, of Essex, MD, and Heather McQuiller and her husband Matthew, of Levittown, PA. He adored his role as grandfather to three grandchildren, Elizabeth Mae Tucker, and Remi Faye McQuiller and Stenson Lee McQuiller.

A 1979 graduate of Christian Life Academy, Willie was always an avid learner. He was passionate about his studies, attaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Delaware Valley University, Doylestown, PA, in 1986. Earning his Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Golden Gate University in 1991, and going on to a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Old Dominion University in 1999.

He proudly served with the U. S. Navy from 1979 to 1993, retiring at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Serving on the U.S.S. Nassau as well as the U.S.S. Coral Sea before transferring to the U. S. Navy Reserves until his honorable discharge in 2007.

William was employed in tax services for the Bank of America, Baltimore, MD, for 31 years. Being a well-known owner and operator of Robbins Financial Planning Tax Services for many years, William touched many lives through his work and was a fervent educator to guide others toward a better future. He was a certified member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents since 1995.

Will always enjoyed helping others and being a faithful servant of God. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Bel Air, MD, where he served as Chairman of the Benevolence Committee for over 20 years and was a part of the Baptism Committee.

He was fond of his time working and volunteering at Harford Community College events. He treasured the time he spent with family, especially camping and attending shows at the American Music Theatre and Sight & Sound Theatre. He was a member of the NRA and the Southern Lancaster County Farmers Sportsmen’s Association.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday May 3, 2025, 11am EST at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2106 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD, 21015.

Graveside Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in St. Luke’s Union Cemetery, Dublin, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William’s name may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church and Southern Lancaster County Farmers Sportsmen’s Association.
