William D. "Bill" Hoover

William D. "Bill" Hoover, age 76, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on May 4, 2023 at his home. Born in Fountain Green, Maryland, he was the son of Edward and Helen Louise (Dean) Hoover and husband of the late Ann (Radke) Hoover. He worked for the Maryland Transportation Authority for over 35 years and retired in 2005.  He enjoyed golfing, showing his 1937 Chevy at car shows, spending time with his family and going on vacations.    
   
William is survived by his son, David (Michele) Hoover; daughter, Rebecca LePore; granddaughters, Abigail Hoover, Allison Hoover, and Isabella LePore; grandsons, Cole LePore, and Clay LePore; great-grandchildren, Don & Lillie LePore; brother, Edward "Bud" G. Hoover, II; and sister, Evelyn Rinehart.
 
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dolly Kieffner, and Shirley Dotson.
