William B. Seccurro

William B. Seccurro, age 80, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on April 25, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Born in Fairmont, West Virginia, he was the son of Robert and Lillian(Urse) Seccurro.

An educator for the Harford County Public School System for over 34 years, Bill began his career as an Industrial Arts teacher at Bel Air High School. He was the first principal of Harford Technical High School and retired as the Supervisor of Vocational and Technical Education. While Bill never sought personal recognition, his career in education included several awards and recognitions which highlight his unwavering advocacy and dedication to the educational needs of all students. Even after his retirement from HCPS, he remained involved in many service organizations, committees, and advisory groups that support public education.

He served as President and CEO of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce from 2000-2011. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Bel Air and a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

He was known for his love of West Virginia, making pizzelles (Italian cookies), watching sports on TV, vacationing at the beach and telling stories that included various trivia facts.

Bill is survived by his wife of 55+ years, Kay Seccurro; daughters, Lora (Jim) Pangratz and Sara (Chip) Harwood; son William Brian (Ashleigh) Seccurro; grandchildren, Kelleigh Pangratz, Grace Pangratz, Emma Harwood, Kate Harwood, Jane Harwood, Lilly Seccurro, Olive Seccurro; sister Christine Bacco; and brother, Sam Seccurro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, AJ Pangratz.
