Albert Wesley Troyer (known as Wes to all), age 75, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Howard Edwin Troyer and Bessie Louise (Singleton) Troyer. A lifelong resident of Jarrettsville, Wes was married to his beloved wife, Patricia Troyer, for 47 years.
Wes retired in 2003 from Executone, where he worked as a Senior Analyst & Technician. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Computer Science from Towson University and an Associate’s Degree in Electronics/Computer Science from Harford Community College. Known for his talents and hard work, Wes enjoyed working on cars and took pride in never sending his own vehicles to a shop. He loved fixing things around the house, gardening, building sheds, and tackling construction projects. As a father he was actively involved in Jarrettsville rec council coaching all of his children’s sports and never missing a game. Photography and videography were among his hobbies, but what brought him the greatest joy was watching his children and grandchildren play sports and being actively involved in their lives.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Justin Troyer; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Davis, Robert Davis, and Ransom Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Troyer; son, Jason (Angela) Troyer; daughter, Shannon (Lee) Swinscoe; grandchildren, Trevor Troyer, Eloise Troyer, Maeve Troyer, Dwyer Swinscoe, Carter Swinscoe, Cooper Swinscoe, and Sawyer Swinscoe; sister, Wanda (Jim) Swank; brother, Ed (Roberta) Troyer; and sisters-in-law, Carol Davis and Sue Davis.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation in Wes’s name, it can be mailed to the family home at 4074 Cox Terrace, Jarrettsville, MD 21084. Pat and the family will be making donations in his name to many organizations that were close to Wes’s heart. These include sports organizations that his grandchildren are involved in, a scholarship in Justin’s name, and other meaningful causes.
