Walter Harry Karoll, Jr.

Walter Harry Karoll, Jr., 82, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Forest Hill, MD.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Walter was the son of the late Walter Harry Karoll, Sr., and Margaret Elizabeth (Waltman) Karoll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Karoll and his brother- in-law, Gene Schuller.

Walter was the beloved husband of Doris Ann (Schuller) Karoll, to whom he was married for nearly 60 years, celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on January 22, 2026.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Karoll; his brother, James Karoll; his sister, Cheryl Whetzel; sister-in-law, Nancy Cox; sister- in-law, Gladys Schuller; and his nieces and nephews.

Walter proudly served his country as a member of the Air National Guard. He dedicated 23 years of service to the Baltimore County Police Department, retiring in 1987. Following his retirement from law enforcement, he remained active in the workforce, selling cars and boats and later working for The Harland Company for many years.

In his free time, Walter enjoyed playing golf, fishing, boating, camping, and cutting his grass. He was a faithful member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jarrettsville, where he found fellowship and community.
