Virginia “Ginny” Dresher Meoli, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of deep faith, was born on November 28, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She lived a life marked by devotion—to God, to family, and to service—and leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, faithfulness, and love.
Ginny’s early life was shaped by a series of family moves that reflected both opportunity and adaptability. From Pittsburgh, her family relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, and later to Los Altos, California. She attended Los Altos High School in California, where she distinguished herself as an excellent student. In February 1961, her father moved the family back east to Hagerstown, Maryland, where Ginny completed her senior year at North Hagerstown High School, graduating in 1961 and earning recognition as a graduate of both schools.
Ginny continued her education at the Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston, Massachusetts, where she once again excelled academically. It was there that she met the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Meoli. They married and shared sixty years of marriage before Tony’s passing in 2024—a partnership rooted in faith, family, and shared purpose.
Following their marriage, Ginny and Tony spent their first two years together in Revere, Massachusetts, before settling in Baltimore, Maryland. They lived in Baltimore for seven years, and then moved to Bel Air, Maryland with their children, Michael and Melanie (Robinson), where Ginny spent the remainder of her life and where she and Tony built a lasting home for their family.
In 1972, Ginny joined her husband Tony and her brother James Dresher Jr. in the McDonald’s business as franchisees. For eighteen years, she oversaw the administrative side of the company, bringing intelligence, discipline, and steady leadership to the organization while supporting the growth of the family enterprise.
Ginny’s life was deeply anchored in her Christian faith. She was a devoted member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, Maryland, where she spent many years singing in the church choir and served faithfully in numerous ministries. She coordinated the Junior Church Ministry, organized and taught Sunday School, and served as registrar for the Vacation Bible School program—serving each with dedication and care. She also served on the board of New Covenant Christian School, where she held the role of treasurer, and was a faithful participant in women’s Bible study. Her service reflected a sincere and humble commitment to nurturing faith in others, especially children.
In addition to her church involvement, Ginny was a founding member of the Dresher Foundation, a charitable family foundation based in Bel Air, Maryland, reflecting her lifelong commitment to service and generosity.
Ginny was a devoted mother to three children and six grandchildren. She is survived by her son Michael (Kelli), daughter Melanie Robinson (David), grandchildren Rachel Meoli, Lauren Meoli, Daniel Robinson, Dylan Meoli, Joshua Robinson, and Elise Robinson, each of whom brought her great joy. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Butcher (Jim), James Dresher, Jr. (Patti), and Jeff Dresher (Christine), and many nieces and nephews across Maryland and Massachusetts whom she loved dearly. Ginny carried with her throughout her life the tender memory of her daughter Jeannie Michelle, who passed away in 1970 at the age of four. Ginny is also predeceased by her husband Anthony “Tony” Meoli, and her parents, James T. and Virginia Dresher.
Ginny will be remembered for her intellect, her unwavering faith, her gentle leadership, and her enduring love for her family and church community. Her life was a testament to faithful service and quiet grace, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
