Virginia (Ginny) Purcell

Virginia “Ginny” Lee Purcell, 82, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Havre De Grace.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ginny was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Brewer and the late Lillian Virginia (Sullivan) Brewer. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” James Purcell.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Purcell; her father, Robert Brewer; and her mother, Lillian Brewer.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Stacey Bridges-Pugh and her husband, Kevin, and her cherished grandchildren, Sarah Bridges, Amanda Pugh, and Zachary Pugh. She is also survived by her brother, Gary Brewer.

Ginny enjoyed a vibrant and full life. She loved playing Bingo and slot machines and especially treasured her trips to Delaware Park and Atlantic City with her husband, Jack. A creative soul, she enjoyed crafting and had a particular interest in home decor. She also found great joy in spending time at the beach.

Ginny will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the happiness she brought to all who knew her.
