Vinoda Kuncham

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vinoda Kuncham, who passed away in Bengaluru, India on May 1, 2025. Vinoda was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was born on October 17, 1955, in Mysore, India, to the late D.K. Sitharama Setty and Pramila. Vinoda was a devoted wife of 44 years to her husband, Murahari Kuncham. She was a proud mother of her son, Arjun Kuncham Murahari and beloved by her sisters and brothers: sister Latha Prabhakar, sister Vanaja Kishore, and her late brothers Jayachandra Donthi and Jyothiprakash Donthi; as well as her large extended family and friends both in the United States and in India.

Vinoda’s family and friends will forever remember her as gregarious, warm, and caring. When facing any hardship during her life, she always presented herself with a smile and continued to fight even under the most difficult circumstances. Her passions included cooking, fashion, jewelry, travel, and the Baltimore Ravens.

Vinoda was a person of deep faith and final rites were completed in India as her ashes were spread along the banks of the Kaveri River near her hometown of Mysore and along the Ganges River in Varanasi (Kashi).

We ask all close friends and family to please join us for a celebration of life in honor of Vinoda. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
