Veronica Jean Arsenault, age 26, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Veronica was the beloved daughter of Rae B. (Horst) Gray and Conrad Louis Arsenault. She graduated from Joppatowne High School in 2017 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Salisbury University in 2022.
Veronica had a passion for storytelling, creativity, and all things imaginative. A dedicated fan of anime, some of her favorites included Fairy Tail and Pokemon. She also enjoyed Batman, Scooby-Doo, and attending Comic Con whenever she could. Veronica had a special fondness for music, with All time Low and One Direction being her favorites, and she loved watching wrestling — especially when her favorite, John Cena, was in the ring.
An avid gamer, Veronica spent many hours on her PlayStation and Xbox and was starting to enjoy PC games. She recently had been exploring different types of crafts alongside her longtime love of drawing. She had a substantial comic book collection. She enjoyed traveling, particularly to England and New York City, and cherished time spent with her pets — especially her fur baby, Ori.
Veronica was known for her independence, loyalty, and deep sense of care for others. Though sometimes a bit too trusting, her conscientious and loving nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is survived by her mother, Rae B. Gray; father, Conrad Louis Arsenault; stepfather, Chris M. Gray; brother, Alexander Louis Arsenault; grandmother, Brenda Bohon; grandfather, Paul L. Horst, Jr.; aunts Delene Clow and Tania Charanian; uncle, Walter J. Hermann; cousins, Taylor Trotta, John and Shawn Clow, and Brianna Rutland; partner, Kaitlyn “Kat” Schimpf; and her beloved Ori.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jean Hermann; grandfather, Conrad N. Arsenault; step-grandfathers, Walter J. Hermann and Robert T. O’Brien; and aunt, Cathi F. Horst.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Veronica’s memory to the Humane Society of Harford County, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047, or The Trevor Project
If flowers are given, please avoid lavender, as her partner is allergic.
