Vernon "Stoney" Stonesifer

Vernon Alonza “Stoney” Stonesifer of Joppa, Maryland passed away at his home on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the age of 90.

Stoney was predeceased by his wife of 66 years Pattie Stonesifer, son Lonnie Stonesifer, father Vernon Addison Stonesifer, Mother Mary Irlene (Barnett) Stonesifer, and sister Marjorie Ferguson.

Stoney is survived by his son Dale Stonesifer and wife Valerie, grandson Michael and wife Kristen, and brother James Stonesifer and wife Sandy.

Professionally, Stoney was a US Army veteran and a proud member of Maryland State Police from 1960-1973. He left Maryland State Police to work fulltime in his business, Maryland Police Supply. He was President of Maryland Police Supply until his retirement in 1998. He was a longtime member of Mt. Ararat Lodge #44 located in Bel Air.

Stoney loved working on and touring with his antique cars and was a longtime member of the Harford Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) and the Mid-Atlantic Region of the Vintage Motor Car Club of America (VMCCA).

Stoney will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Services will be private.
