Venkata Raghavan C. Pallikondai, age 87, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, in Abingdon, Maryland.

Born on November 12, 1938, in Chennai, India, Venkata was the son of the late Sesha Venkata Chary Pallikondai and Kalyani Chary Pallikondai. A man of great intellect and a lifelong learner, he pursued his education at Osmania University, where he earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree. Later in life, he made a career change and worked in the pharmaceutical industry.

Venkata had a natural curiosity and a love for learning. He was an avid reader and enjoyed practicing yoga. He was also remarkably skilled with electronics and loved to tinker, often taking devices apart and successfully putting them back together again. His ability to understand how things worked reflected both his intelligence and his inquisitive nature.

While in India, Venkata met his beloved wife, Parimala Raghavan Pallikondai. The couple married in 1969 and shared 52 loving years of marriage together. Throughout their life together, they built a beautiful family and created many cherished memories.

Venkata is survived by his sons, Anand Raghavan and Santosh Raghavan and his wife, Mansi; and his grandchildren, Maya and Reya.

In addition to his parents, Sesha and Kalyani Pallikondai, Venkata was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Parimala Pallikondai.
