Valerie Theresa Kramer, age 82, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Bel Air, Maryland.
Born in Manhattan, New York, Valerie was the beloved daughter of the late John Michael Hajduchik and the late Jean Frances (Rup) Hajduchik.
Valerie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose family was the center of her life. She graduated from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland and began her career as an elementary school teacher at Hamden Elementary. Once married, Valerie stepped away from teaching to devote herself to raising her children and caring for her family. As they became teenagers, she began a long career in Property Management, from which she retired in 2020.
She was a dedicated and loving family member who found great joy in the people she loved. Valerie had a variety of interests and hobbies that brought her happiness throughout her life. She enjoyed collecting coin sets and was an enthusiastic fan of musician Clay Aiken, following his music with great devotion. She also had a lifelong love of anything crafting, including everything from large wood projects to small household handiworks.
Valerie will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her caring nature, and the many special memories she created with those closest to her; including her favorite: raucous New Year's Eve celebrations with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Janice (Kevin) Camp, Karen Douglas, Lori (Michael) Hinman, Darlene (Damien) Kerr and her son, Quentin (Sharon) Kramer; her nine grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Jeanne (Lawrence) Kelly and Carol (Richard) Herr; their children The Milligans, Gradys and Herrs, and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Phillip Douglas.
