Timothy Neil Drake, age 60, of Churchville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Bel Air. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the beloved husband of seventeen years to Beth Drake and a cherished son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Richard Milton Drake. He is survived by his wife, Beth Drake; daughter, Cassie and her husband Mark Kuchera; his beloved grandchild, Karter Kuchera; his mother, Beverly Ann (Ortt) Drake; his brothers, Richard and his wife, Wanda Drake and Dean and his wife, Dawn Drake; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Tim had a true passion for the culinary arts, especially when it meant creating something new or special for others. He loved cooking for family and friends and enjoyed creating new dishes and making his own spice blends. Tim loved watching the Food Network and got much of his love of cooking from watching his mother and the legendary Julia Child.

Tim was also very passionate about his plants, flowers, and vegetables. He enjoyed attracting hummingbirds to his yard with plants and feeders, often getting the hummingbirds to come right to him. In his younger years, Tim enjoyed camping. He was an accomplished basketball player, playing in both high school and college, where he played on a scholarship. Tim also loved all of his pets and animals and treated them as cherished members of his family.

Above all, Tim was someone who found joy in sharing his time, his cooking, and the things he loved with the people around him. His warmth, generosity, and love of family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
