Thomas Wewerka

Thomas Wewerka, age 76, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on July 17, 2023 in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Ruhl) Wewerka and husband of the late Gail Wewerka.Thomas was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Thomas owned & operated Tom's Custom Rods building custom rods and repairs. Tom was known as "the Rodfather”. This passion gave him the privilege of meeting so many good friends.He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. Thomas volunteered at the Harford County Woodshop as a Foreman.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Amy & Shannon Martin, Wendy & Charles Capitano; son, Michael & Tess Wewerka; grandchildren, C. J., Whitney, Jeffery, Meghan, Matthew, Emily, Jason, Hunter, Eden, and Ayla; brothers, Richard Wewerka and Dominic Slezak.

The family invites anyone attending the funeral service on Friday to bring their custom rod and participate in creating a arch at the end of the service in a proper send off for Tom.
