Suzanne Demme (nee Brinegar)

Suzanne Demme (nee Brinegar), age 77, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on August 15, 2023, at her home. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of Fitzhugh and Ruth (Ayres) Brinegar and wife of the late Jack Demme. Suzanne started her employment with the Technical Support Division at Edgewood Arsenal and transferred to the National Guard Bureau field office at Edgewood Arsenal where she worked until 1992. Suzanne completed her career with the US Army Ordinance Center and School at Aberdeen Proving Ground where she retired. She volunteered at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, the Homeless Shelter, participated in many fund raisers over the years and was a member of Fallston Presbyterian Church for many years.  Suzanne enjoyed reading, music, traveling, skiing, watching the Orioles and Ravens games, and loved spending time with her family, especially at the family cook outs.
    
Suzanne is survived by her sisters, Gloria (Phil) Adams, Sarah (Doug) Price, Ruth Snyder, Margaret (Glen) Sjoblom, Rose Mary Lewis, Gertrude (Ted) Hill; brother, Roy Brinegar; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Bennett, brother, William Brinegar, sister-in-law, Ruth Brinegar, and brothers-in-law, Terry Snyder and Donald Lewis.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on September 9, 2023, at Fallston Presbyterian Church, 600 Fallston Road, PO Box 54, Fallston, MD 21047. Following the service, a luncheon will be held in the church social hall.
