Susan Knopp

Susan Knopp, age 71, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jack Lorn McGee and Savannah Rosalie (Crabbe) McGee.

Sue was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles David Knopp, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage, as well as her parents, Jack and Savannah McGee.

Sue's greatest joy in life was her family. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Through her successful career in Data Processing at Aberdeen Testing Center, she worked to build a solid foundation for the family she loved so deeply.

She and her husband shared a special love for the beach, with Ocean City, Maryland, serving as their favorite getaway destination. Whether relaxing by the water or taking walks along the shore, those trips brought them countless happy memories over the years.

An enthusiastic Baltimore sports fan, she enjoyed cheering on the Ravens and Orioles. She also found joy in life's simple pleasures, including starting each day with a hot coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, a favorite part of her daily routine.

She is survived by her loving children; daughter Tricia Cravaritis & her husband Rob, son Cory Knopp & his wife Emily, and son Jarod Knopp & his wife Kate; and her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Cravaritis, Alexis Cravaritis, Ryan Knopp, and Silas Knopp; her brother, Edward McGee; and her sister, Carrie Lou Singleton.

Sue will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family, her love of the beach, her generous spirit, and the warmth and kindness she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be treasured and live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Following the memorial service, all are invited back to the Knopp residence for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
