Stanley Zalewski

July 21, 1947 — June 24, 2025

Bel Air

Stanley Zalewski, age 77, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Stanley was the beloved son of the late Stanley J. Zalewski and Vivian Marie Zalewski (née Gable). A proud veteran, Stanley dedicated his life to serving both his country and his community.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Marjorie Ann Zalewski (née Shawver); his loving daughters, Kathryn Zalewski, Elizabeth Harrah and her husband Mark, and Emily Schram and her husband Andrew. He was a cherished grandfather to Evan Harrah, Nathan Harrah, and Samuel Zale Ramey.

Stanley was a lifelong lover of Scripture and his deep faith in God guided his every step. He found joy in photography and had a profound passion for U.S. history—especially the Battle of Gettysburg—and the archaeological history of Jerusalem, the ground his Savior walked. He was a long-time and active member of Mountain Christian Church, where he served faithfully in many capacities, most notably as an employee of their finance team and through various administrative volunteer roles. He retired from the Coca Cola USA Syrup Manufacturing in Baltimore 1998 after 35 years of dedicated service as Branch Finance Manager. From 2004 until his passing he was employed by his dear friend George Majchrzak owner of G & M Automotive in Kingsville as a finance consultant. He enjoyed the many biblical conversations he, George and his daughter Missy would engage in while he was in the office.

He was an active member of IAABO through Upper Chesapeake Basketball Officials Association, Board 261 from 2001 until his passing. He faithfully served 17 years on their Executive Board as Secretary/Treasurer from the 2004-2005 season through the 2021-2022 season.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Mountain Christian Church, 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa MD followed by a “Celebration of Life” service at 11:00 AM.
