Obituary

Shayna Kristine Hoppa, age 49, of Maryland, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Rosedale, Maryland.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Shayna was the beloved daughter of Sandra Lee Hild Duff and Raymond Edward Hoppa Jr.

Shayna graduated from Loch Raven High School in 1995 and worked throughout her career in several medical billing positions. She was known for her caring spirit, generous heart, and fun-loving personality. Shayna would always help others whenever she could and cherished the many close friendships she formed throughout her life, considering many of those friends to be family.

A passionate sports fan, Shayna was an avid supporter of the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles and would never miss a Ravens game. Her love for music led her to concerts and music festivals over the years, including Woodstock. In her younger years, Shayna enjoyed gymnastics, ballet, tap, and jazz dancing and proudly performed as a lead in two ballet recitals.

Shayna deeply loved nature and enjoyed hiking, trips to the beach, and floating peacefully in the pool at her parents’ home. Above all else, family was extremely important to her, and she treasured every moment spent with loved ones.

Shayna was preceded in death by her stepmother, Marilyn Hoppa; her uncle, Thomas Hoppa; and her aunt, Nancy Hoppa.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Paris Koppelman and Shyloh Delph; her mother, Sandra Duff; her father, Raymond Hoppa Jr.; stepfather, Tony Duff; uncles Patrick Hoppa, Robert Hoppa, Timothy “Stick” Hoppa, and Douglas Hild; and aunts Michele Kloid and Debbie Nizer; significant other, Ronald West, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

The family encourages everyone attending the service on Sunday to wear a Ravens jersey in memory of Shayna.
