With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shawn DeLee Rymer, age 50. Born on May 14, 1974, in Baltimore, MD, Shawn went home to be with our Heavenly Father on May 5, 2025, leaving behind a rich tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
She was married for 5 years. She was a 1992 graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame and received her bachelor’s degree in Geology from LaSalle University in 1996 with Magna Cum Laude honors. She had worked as a real estate agent with Long & Foster in Lutherville from 2004-2006 at which time she then became majority owner in Keller Williams Timonium from 2006-2010. After her real estate career, she then became a stay-at-home grandma. She loved to watch true crime stories and the news. When the grandchildren were over, they loved watching Disney & Marvel movies. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles & Ravens fan. She was a very kind person who always tried to help others and find ways to brighten their day.
A devoted homemaker, Shawn dedicated herself to her family and home, nurturing her two daughters, Julianna, and Brianna, with unwavering love and support. She also treated her soon-to-be son-in-laws as her sons, Jeremy Brothers and Joseph Geren. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Zayden, Indiyah, and Zaria Heaton, with whom she shared countless special moments that will forever warm their hearts.
Shawn’s life was a testament to kindness and compassion. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Rymer, her father, Henry Beltman, III, and her bonus mom, Barbara Beltman. She leaves behind her siblings, Alecia Fisher, Mark Koppenhaver, Jr., and Tabetha Bratcher, along with nephew Mark Koppenhaver III, Ryan Fisher, Matthew Fisher, Andrew Koppenhaver, and nieces Sarah Koppenhaver and Audrey Koppenhaver.
Rest in peace, dear Shawn. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Shawn was preceded in death by her mother Cheryl Broda and her grandmother Carole Payne. Shawn also cared for her great-grandparents Hilda and Bernie Heath, who loved her dearly.
