Obituary

Sharon “Gi” Mueller, 78, of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Born in Gloversville, New York, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Jack Ralph Busse and Elizabeth (Sabocheck) Busse, both of whom preceded her in death.

Sharon was the loving wife of Joseph Gordon Mueller, with whom she shared a life full of love, travel, and countless adventures. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Truly one of a kind, Sharon was known as “a hoot” and a force to be reckoned with. She truly lived life to the fullest, as she could. She never sugar-coated her words, and those who knew her understood just how special, loving, and strong she truly was.

A woman of deep faith, Sharon was Catholic and lived her life guided by love, faith, and kindness. She adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved fiercely. She enjoyed shopping and finding the perfect, thoughtful gifts for her loved ones. One of her greatest joys was traveling with her husband—she loved nothing more than getting in the car and going anywhere, as long as they were together.

Sharon courageously battled lung cancer for nearly 20 years, on and off, facing her illness with incredible strength and resilience. She was a survivor in every sense of the word.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Emory) Anderson, Todd (Cindi) Grill, and Jason Mueller; her grandchildren, Meghan (Kevin) Elko, Alison (Billy) Hartsock, Dominic Bisesi, Evan (Amanda) Grill, Megan Anderson, and Bridget Anderson; and her great-grandchildren, Rowan “Bean” Elko and Caleb Hartsock. She is also survived by her siblings Betty Ann (Bill) Urban and Steven Busse; brothers and sister-in-law, Bob (Marsha) Mueller, Don (Debbie) Mueller, Janet Mueller, Mark (Karen) Mueller, and Linda Busse, along with 21 beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Busse and brother-in-law Tom Mueller.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Sharon’s name.

Sharon’s strength, humor, honesty, and boundless love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
