Sharon M. King, age 75, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Marx Elliott and Georgia Roanna (Martin) Elliott.

Sharon was married to her beloved husband, Stephen King, for 55 years. Born and raised in Harford County, she spent her entire life in the community she loved. Sharon retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground in 2016. A strong and resilient woman, she was a two-time breast cancer survivor. Her greatest joy in life was raising her two beautiful daughters. Sharon loved crafting and was a wonderful baker, especially known for her Christmas cookies, which the children always enjoyed helping her make. She also adored her cats, lovingly referring to them as her “grandchildren.” Sharon enjoyed traveling with Stephen in their RV, particularly their trips to Florida and Ocean City, Maryland.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brothers, Martin Elliott and William Elliott, Jr., and her sister, Patricia Cummings.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen King; and her daughters, Kathleen (Kevin) Shilko and Stephanie King.
