Shane Kenneth Fields, age 22, of Abingdon, MD, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2014 at his home. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he is the son of Daniel Ray Fields Sr. and Susan Margaret Selby Fields of Abingdon, MD. While attending high school, he participated in theater productions at both Edgewood and Patterson Mill where he also played trombone in the band. He was an avid video gamer and took lessons in Ti Chuan Do. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he sang in the Ps98 Praise Band.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Daniel R. Fields Jr. and wife, Dana, of Dublin and Rev. Joshua A. Fields of Abingdon; sister, Jessica Lynn-Dayle Fields of Virginia Beach, VA; grandparents, Larry D. Fields of Bel Air, John M. Selby of Towson, Margaret F. Selby of Abingdon; step-grandmothers, Carol D. Fields of Bel Air and Ellen W. Selby of Towson; and aunts, uncles, nephew and nieces. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Carolyn W. Fields.
Visitation will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Bel Air, MD on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be at the church on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth E. Tipton, Rev. Bob Savage, Dr. David A. Hall and Rev. Jim B. Testerman officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rev. Joshua A. Fields, Rev. W. Earl Taylor, Daniel R. Fields Jr., Michael L. Fields, Brian D. Anderson, Kyle L. Anderson, Michael Lustt and Barry Richards.
