Sandra Diane Bartlett

Sandra Diane Bartlett, age 85, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on June 20, 2023, at her home in Joppa, MD.  Sandra was born in Michigan City, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Carl and LaDonna (Abele) Erickson and wife to the late Norman Walter Bartlett.  Sandra was also predeceased by her brother, Dale Erickson and her sister LaDonna (Erickson) Goodwin.

Sandra and Norman were married for 58 years before his passing.  Sandra attended Indiana University where she attained her Bachelor of Science degree and became a business teacher.  She met her husband while visiting her sister and brother-in-law while they were stationed in Baltimore, MD.  After Norman and Sandra married, they went everywhere together.  She went on fishing trips with Norman all over Maryland, Florida, and North Carolina and surrounding states. The two would also travel to Islamorada, Florida in the wintertime.  Sandra assisted Norman with his pump repair business as his office manager and when he went on to pursue his Saltwater Fly-Fishing guides license.

Working with her husband took second place to caring and raising their daughter, Donna Valerie.  Sandra also volunteered at her church, Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa serving in many areas.  Sandra’s world was her husband and daughter, Donna Valerie. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Joseph, Amanda, and Luke.  She was an extremely strong woman who overcame many obstacles along her journey but did so with a smile and never complained.  Sandra was an amazing woman who was extremely generous and kind, and who treated everyone with respect and kindness.  She put everyone’s needs above her own.  She took care of her husband before he passed and made sure that he always had the best life possible.  She was an incredible mother to her daughter, who hopes to be half as amazing and strong as she was.  Sandra will be missed dearly by her family and friends.  Her family takes comfort in knowing that Sandra went to be with her husband and her family, and they are together again.  Too-da-loo until we see each other again!

Sandra is survived by her daughter Donna Valerie Cliffe (Michael Cliffe Jr); and grandchildren, Joseph Cliffe, Amanda Cliffe and Luke Cliffe.
