Sandra Kay
Ayres
Dec 2, 1955 — Jun 5, 2026
Sandra Kay Ayres, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 70. "Kay" as she was affectionately known, was lovingly devoted to her husband, Norman Lee Ayres Jr., for 47 wonderful years. She was the most caring, supportive, understanding, and compassionate lady; family was her world. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by all those she loved. She will forever be remembered for her loving heart, devotion to her family, and the kindness she shared with everyone around her. As a dedicated homemaker, she created a warm and loving home where family gatherings and cherished memories flourished. Kay especially loved watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and flourish, a dedicated Memaw that enjoyed bragging about her grandbabies. She had a deep appreciation of all God's beautiful creations, enjoyed flower arranging, gardening, and simply watching the birds visit while sitting on the porch. She enjoyed the simple things; faith, family and friends-the true meaning of her life.
Along with her husband Norman, she is survived by her 3 children; Sherry Robinson, Tammy Milburn and Lee Ayres; 5 grandchildren; Maggie Rockwell, Nathan Ayres, Julie Stoots, Katie Milburn, and Danny Stoots; 3 great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Charlie, and Declan; her fur baby, Luke; her brother Kerry Turner; niece Jackie Putney; nephews-Chad Turner, Justin Turner, Bruce Billings, and Fred Turner; her lifelong best friends-Lisa Alvarez, Becky Gooch, and Janet Castle.
Kay was predeceased by her granddaughter Allison Milburn; siblings-Kathy Billings and Kent Turner. Her parents- Annie Turner and Marion Turner; her mother-in-law, Patricia Gulden and father-in-law Norman Ayres Sr.
