Ruth Virginia Heckrotte, age 77, of Joppa, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, in Towson, Maryland.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ruth was the beloved daughter of the late Leo Dorman and the late Helen (Warfield) Dorman.

Ruth was a devoted and loving mother and cherished her family above all else. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and sharing meals together while dining out. She also found great enjoyment in putting puzzles together, playing board games, and working crossword puzzles. Her love of simple activities and time spent with those she loved brought her great happiness throughout her life.

Ruth is survived by her loving children, Robert Clark, Denise Heckrotte, and Shannon Heckrotte; her grandchildren, Grace, Lucas, and Mya; her brothers, Richard Dorman and John Dorman; and her sisters, Marian Dorman, Carol Reisenauer, and Deborah Kohler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Dorman, Ronald Dorman, Leo Dorman, Jr., David Dorman, and Michael Dorman; and her sister, Barbara Klimaszewski.

Ruth's love for her family, warm spirit, and enjoyment of life's simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
