Robert Bruce Rovecamp, age 79, of Dundalk, MD passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025 surrounded by family. He was a man of few words, who never sought the spotlight, but is the center of countless unforgettable stories.
There was nothing that Robert could not fix and no adventure that he was not willing to undertake. He found great joy in spending time with his grandsons and being outdoors, whether it was working in his garden, watching his purple martin birds, jet skiing or sitting on the pier and enjoying the sunset.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend and his presence brought a calming comfort to those who loved him. He is survived by his wife Monica, his daughter Candice Giordano and husband Michael, his grandchildren Carter and Andrew Giordano, sister Jan Rovecamp and her spouse Howard Conley, and brother Fredrick Rovecamp. He was loved by his in-laws Cynthia Hoyt, Claudia and Wayne Richardson, and Hugh Hoffman. He was a fun and loving uncle to Stacey and Bryan Shaughness, Jennifer and Keith Mitchell, Sarah Boemmel, Ric Hoffman, Heather Rovecamp and Ashley Rovecamp. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of mourning, we invite friends to a celebration of Robert’s life at McComas funeral home at 50 W Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014 on May 22nd from 6:30-8:30pm.
