Robert Gibson Inskeep, age 82, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Bel Air. Born in Lonaconing, Maryland, he was the son of the late Robert Othe Inskeep and Vera Marie (Humphrey) Inskeep.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Bob went on to have a long and successful career as a computer engineer with IBM, retiring in 2005 after 40 years of dedicated service. He was known for his sharp intellect and deep interest in technology, always keeping up with the latest advancements in computer systems. In his free time, Bob enjoyed reading, gardening, and working on puzzles.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Carol Ann (Pero) Inskeep. He was a loving father to Jack (Casey) Inskeep, Theresa "Tracie" (Sean) Bera, Robert Inskeep, and Michael (Natalie) Inskeep. He is also remembered fondly by his grandchildren: Kaileen Arsenault, Kendra O'Hora, Karley Schlegel, Brian Bera, Alex Bera, Jonathan Inskeep, Logan Inskeep, Elizabeth Inskeep, Mickey Inskeep, Timmy Inskeep, Abbey Inskeep, Iris Inskeep, and Violet Inskeep. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Kennedy Finlay, Lincoln O'Hora, Sawyer O'Hora, River O'Hora, Sterling Schlegel, and Mckenna Inskeep.
Bob is also survived by his sister, Kimberly Zellers, and his brother, Gary Inskeep.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Nadine Inskeep; and his son, Russell Inskeep.
