Robert Frank Tankersley Sr.

Robert Frank Tankersley Sr., age 81, of Joppa, MD, passed away on August 3, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elroy and Helen Pauline (Becker) Tankersley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had worked as a freight transport truck driver.

Mr. Tankersley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Lee (DeLeo) Tankersley; sons, Robert Douglas Tankersley Jr. of Have de Grace, John Martin Tankersley of Interlachen, FL and Jason Eastwood Tankersley of Joppa; brother, William Elroy Tankersley of White Marsh; sister, Bertha May Greek of Delta, PA; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jean Marie Tankersley; brothers, George Harvey Tankersley and James Bernard Tankersley; and sisters, Mary Melinda Heim and Beatrice Jane Keiser.

Pallbearers will be Robert, John, Jason and Richard Tankersley, David and Leonard Greek.
