Robert "Bob" G. Parker, Jr.

Robert "Bob" G. Parker Jr., age 80, of Edgewood, MD passed away on April 1, 2016 at his home. Born in Melrose, MA, he was the son of the late Robert Gerald Parker Sr. and Elisabeth Priscilla (Gile) Parker. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a nursing home administrator. After retiring, Bob worked for the Harford County Sheriff's Office as a security guard. He also recently served on the Board of Directors of Citizens Care Center.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Martha Jo Parker; sons, Christopher J. Parker of Aberdeen, Christopher M. Hitchens of Hockessin, DE and James R. Hitchens of Newark, DE; daughter, Jennifer Elise Parker Geary of Belcamp; and grandchildren, Shawn and Jami Edgar, Sarah Parker, Charissa, Rebecca and Sydney Hitchens and Katie, Daniel, Molly and Jacob Geary; and great-grandchildren, Joseph and Gabriel; brothers in law, Richard and Judy Carville of The Villages, FL, and Mike and Deb Carville of Wilmington, DE; nieces Michele, Megan, Nicole; and nephew Christopher.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Parker, Christopher Hitchens, James Hitchens, Sydney Hitchens, Dan Geary, Danny Geary, Katie Geary, and Shawn Edgar.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 2600 Willoughby Beach Road, Edgewood, MD 21040 where Bob was one of the original parishioners.
