Robert James Aigner, age 60, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Japan, Robert was the devoted son of the late William Charles Aigner and is survived by his mother, Yoshiko Arata Weller, who lovingly raised him alongside his late stepfather, Percy Weller.

Robert was a strong, loyal, dedicated, and hard-working man who lived a life of service and love for his family and country. A proud graduate of Aberdeen High School, Class of 1983, he went on to serve his nation with honor and distinction in the United States Air Force for four years, followed by more than 21 years with the Air National Guard as a member of the 175th Wing.

Following his military service, Robert continued his commitment to public safety by joining the Harford County Sheriff's Office, where he served with dedication for 28 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant (#363). He leaves behind a lasting legacy of integrity, strength, and service to his community.

Robert was a beloved son, brother, father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Roblyn Aigner; their son, Ryan Aigner; and his daughter, Jenee (Joe) Page. He was a proud grandfather to Mya and Parker Page, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Diana (Dave) Jolley and Melinda (Dan) Basara; his brother, James Aigner; and many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Robert enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, and cheering for his favorite teams - the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. He also played on several softball teams throughout his life, including the Air National Guard team, the Harford County Sheriff's Office team, and various private leagues. When possible, he proudly wore jersey #12. His love for life extended to his loyal companion, Rocco, his best friend and feisty Beagle-Chihuahua mix, who will miss him dearly.

Robert James Aigner will be remembered as a man of unwavering dedication, fierce loyalty, and deep love for his family and country. His legacy of service, strength, and sacrifice will live on in all who had the honor of knowing him.

Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date, in a private ceremony with immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Patterson Mill High School Athletic Boosters, where his son, Ryan, is actively involved in the sports program.
