Richard Douglas Burns

Richard Douglas Burns, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Kingsville, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Richard was the son of the late Melvin Lee Burns and Virginia Alexandria (Kozlowski) Burns.

Richard lived a humble and quiet life, marked by dedication and hard work. He spent many years employed with the McCormick Company, working in the trucking dispatch center, where he was respected for his steady presence and reliability.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Melva Bomer and grandniece Summer Stewart.

Richard is lovingly survived by his nephew John Stewart and wife Lesa, his niece Rebecca Northwood and husband Todd, and grand nephew and nieces, Christopher Northwood, Brooke Maxley and husband Mark ,Megan Shettle and husband Jordan and expectant Baby Shettle.
