Rex Woodie

Rex Woodie, age 83, of Princess Anne, MD, died on April 27, 2010 at his sister-in-law and brother-in-law's home. Born in Piney Creek, NC, he was the son of the late Clarence and Lucie Andrews Woodie and husband, since 1956, of the late Thelma Skillman Woodie. A welder for Bethlehem Steel, he was an excellent carpenter and had built several homes. He loved doing yard work, mowing grass and gardening. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Air Force and Army.

Mr. Woodie is survived by his brother, Dwight Woodie and wife, Thelma, of Sykesville, MD; sister, Louise Denton of Elgin, OK; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Woodie of Kingsville, MD and Jean Kilduff of Edgewood, MD; 18 nieces and nephews; loyal and longtime friends, Helen and Leroy Sparr of Westover, MD; and neighbors, Dianne and Andy Boykin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin brother, Kyle Woodie.
