R.C. Sturgill

R.C. Sturgill, age 77, of Millsboro, DE passed away on July 15, 2018 at 8:50 pm. Born in Piney Creek, NC, he was the son of Glen and Winnie (Burchett) Sturgill. He worked in construction all of his life as a heavy equipment operator and foreman. He was employed with Crouse Construction, Grose Construction and Belfast Valley Contractors.

A devoted and loving father, husband, brother and friend who was loved by many, Mr. Sturgill is survived by his wife, Mary Sturgill; sons, John G. Sturgill of Loganville, PA and Robert C. Sturgill of Spring Grove, PA; daughters, Laura L. Sturgill of Saint Albans, WV, Sandra J. Snow of Lewes, DE, Lisa C. Wilcox of Milton, DE, Nicole F. Sturgill and Christina H. Sturgill both of Millsboro, DE; grandchildren, Joshua Sturgill, Robert Michael Sturgill, Alyssa C. Wilcox, Taylor M. Wilcox, Jacob Sturgill, Anna C. Wilcox, Emma M. Wilcox, Cooper Lane´ Sturgill, Carson Lane´ Sturgill, Dominic J. Sturgill and Draven A. Wolfgram; brothers, Jerry Sturgill of Nottingham, PA, Larry Sturgill of Christiana, DE and Allen Sturgill of Street; sisters, Shirley Eldrith of Kennett Square, PA, Brenda Osborne of Avondale, PA, Joyce Reeves of Honey Brook, PA and Linda Ely of Aberdeen; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis, Archie and Michael Sturgill.
