Raymond Michael “Mike” Vaughn, age 75, of Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Towson, Maryland.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Mike was the beloved son of the late Raymond Morris Vaughn and the late Mary Margaret Vaughn.

Mike was the devoted husband of Victoria Vaughn, with whom he shared 53 loving years of marriage. Together they built a life centered around family, friendship, and simple joys.

Mike worked as a steelworker for ARMCO in Baltimore City for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. He was known for his strong work ethic and friendly personality. In his free time, Mike loved thrifting, fishing, hunting, mowing the lawn, and taking pride in his yard work. He especially enjoyed spending time in his “man cave,” cheering on the Orioles and Ravens, and making his famous crab soup. Mike had a true talent for finding a good deal and never met a stranger, often making friends everywhere he went, especially at Dollar General and the thrift stores in Edgewood.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Vaughn; his daughters, Valerie Vaughn and her partner, Michelle Alameda, Tracy McDermott, his fond son-in-law, Joseph McDermott, and his cherished grandchildren, Stryker and Skylar McDermott; his sisters, Sharon Kelley and Dotty O’Brien; his brother, Don Vaughn; and many loving nieces and nephews.
