Phillip Bates, age 76, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on December 6, 2024, at home in Edgewood, Maryland. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Josephine (Bates) Douglas and husband of Tawana (Wye) Bates.
In addition to his wife, Phillip is survived by his son, Phillip Ray Bates, Jr. (Melissa), and his grandchildren, Jordan Rae and Taylor Josephine. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
