Philip Campbell Schrecengost

Philp Campbell Schrecengost, age 84, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on September 20, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Rural Valley, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Kenneth Ira and Mary Jane (Schlemmer) Schrecengost. Before retirement, he worked as an auto mechanic for 42 years at Chevy Chase Chevrolet in Bethesda, Maryland. Philip was a loving father who enjoyed attending his son’s soccer games and spending his downtime working on cars, fishing, golfing, or spending time with friends at happy hour. Above all he cherished the time he got to spend with family. Philip will be missed dearly for his quick wit, and humble demeanor. He never complained about anything and was liked by all he met.

Philip is survived by his sons, Robert L. K. Schrecengost of Abingdon, MD, James P. Schrecengost of Las Vegas, NV and Richard C. Schrecengost of Frankford, DE; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles and Dennis; sisters, Sue, Martha, Hellen, Mary and Judy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey, James and Thomas.
