Paul H. Cockerham, age 75, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on July 7, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Carsins Run, MD, he was the son of the late Roy Bohnson Cockerham Sr. and Evelyn Elizabeth Castelow Cockerham. A graduate of Bel Air High School, he worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as a Heating Equipment Mechanic until 2004 at which time he retired after 37 years of service. An outdoor enthusiast, he was an avid hunter and loved taking his grandchildren fishing. He was a member of Living Hope Presbyterian Church, as well as the Maryland Bowhunters Club and Traditional Bowhunters of Maryland.
Mr. Cockerham is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cora Cullum Cockerham; sons, Gene P. Cockerham and wife, Michelle, of Kingsville, Daniel R. Cockerham and wife, Jessica, of Belcamp and Mark W. Cockerham and wife, Kathryn of Edgewood; sister, Nancy E. Sandmeier and her husband Gerald of Churchville; sisters-in-law Carolyn and Priscilla Cockerham; and grandchildren, Rachel, Miriam, Jacob, Zachariah, Liam, Joel, Charlotte and Madeline Cockerham. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Roy B. Cockerham Jr., Charles L. Cockerham and Richard W. Cockerham.
