Patrick Aloysius Redmond, age 64, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Camden, New Jersey, Patrick was the beloved son of the late John Joseph Redmond and Therese Marie (O'Donnell) Redmond.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Redmond.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings: Karen (Sam) Johnston, John (Patrice) Redmond, and Michael (Debbie) Redmond; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Sean Redmond, Timothy Redmond, Kelley Wood, Kaitlyn (Chris) Jarman; great nieces Samantha Rose Jarman and Theresa Louise Jarman; and his beloved dog Rory Gallagher.

After attending Bel Air High School, Patrick went on to graduate from Mount Saint Mary’s College. Patrick was a very talented musician with a passion for playing guitar. He was best known as the frontman for the Route 66 Band and shared his love of music with many talented musicians throughout Harford County. He was a familiar and beloved presence at local venues and events, including the Bel Air Christmas Parade, The Tower, and Sean Bolan’s, where he brought joy to audiences with his performances.

In addition to his musical talents, Patrick dedicated time to education as a substitute teacher at Bel Air High School and contributed to the local community through his work at the radio station at Harford Community College. He was known for his warm personality and kind spirit, someone who truly never met a stranger and was loved by many friends. He lived by the creed “What’s the worst that can happen?” and shared that with all he knew.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patrick’s memory to any animal rescue organization of your choice.

May the road rise up to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
