Obituary

Patricia (Patti) M. Scott-Badeker of Aberdeen, passed away peacefully in her home in Aberdeen, MD on August 7th, 2026. She was 68 years old. Born in Havre de Grace, MD in March of 1958, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ltc. (Ret) Frank W. Scott and Marian A. Scott. She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1976 and St. Mary’s College in 1979.

Patti shared more than 33 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, William (Bill) Badeker. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family and for her community. She was always thinking of others, providing encouragement and support, offering kindness and compassion to those around her. Patti was known for her bright smile that would bring joy to all around. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, listening to music, and gardening. A devoted Christian she was an active member of Encouraging Souls Ministry to which she shared her love of music. Her warmth and presence made a lasting impression to all who knew her.

For over 20 years Patti was a dedicated civil servant for the Department of the Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and looked forward to family vacations in Ocean City, MD.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Badeker. She is also survived by her treasured children, Allan A. Badeker, Ashley K. Suttell (husband Sean), Christopher K. Badeker (wife Jenna), Amanda E. Grace (husband Michael) and Kelsey M. Badeker (partner Elizabeth). She is also survived by cherished grandchildren, Harper Grace, Jacob Grace-Smith, Samuel Grace, Thomas Grace, Madelyn Suttell, Ryan Suttell, Max Badeker, and Beni Badeker. She is also survived by many cousins, extended family members, friends, and 5 loving pets including 2 dogs Charlie and Archie.
