Patricia Florence Brown, age 85, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, after a long struggle with a debilitating disease.
Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Leo Joseph Brown and Florence Bertha (Mahan) Brown. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Karen Lee Brown.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen D. Scarborough, whom she married in November 2025, and many cousins.
A lifelong member of Smith’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Patricia, along with her late sister, remained deeply connected to their church community throughout their lives. She will be laid to rest beside her parents, Leo Joseph Brown, and Florence Bertha (Mahan) Brown, and her sister, Karen Lee Brown, at Smith’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Patricia dedicated her professional life to serving Harford County as a librarian before her retirement. She was known for her kindness, quiet strength, and creativity, spending many years knitting scarves, afghans, hats, and other handmade items for others.

Patricia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, dedication to her family and community, and the warmth she shared with all who knew her.
