Norma Jean Stewart, 83, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025.
Born in Inglewood, California, Norma was the beloved daughter of Paul and Norma (Davis) Keller. A compassionate and giving soul, Norma dedicated her life to helping others, whether through her many charitable contributions or the quiet, loving care she offered to friends in their final days.
Norma was a longtime member of the Fun After 50 Club, an active supporter of countless charity events, and a devoted member of Sovereign Grace Church in Abingdon. She found joy and fellowship as part of the Knit-Wits Club, where her love for crocheting and knitting shone. Her talents extended beyond her craft—she had a true green thumb and took great pride in her plants and garden.
She was known for her gentle spirit, her deep love of animals, and her willingness to lend a hand or a listening ear. Norma cherished long conversations with her sister, with whom she shared her home in her later years. Reading, creating with yarn, and cultivating kindness were among her greatest joys.
Norma will be remembered as a wonderful and kind person who touched many lives with her warmth, generosity, and enduring love.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Terry (Fred) Gursky, and Robin Combs; son, William Stewart, II; grandchildren, Robert (Sasha)Weber, David (Ava) Combs, and Rachel Combs; great-grandchildren Austin Weber, Laniah Weber, and Jack Sheets; sister, Janice Myers and nephew, Mark (Kim) Hurtch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul "Jimmy" Keller.
