Nila K. Ensor

Nila Kasandra Ensor, age 62, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Nila was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Frederick Dawson Ensor; her sister, Lisa Tebin; and her brother, Gary Vanover.

Nila is survived by her loving daughter, Nicole Elshafey and husband Ramy; her devoted son, Robert Game and wife Cambria; and her cherished grandchildren: Paxton Game, Malina Game, Thoraesa Bartlett, Frederick Bartlett, and Savannah Bartlett. She is also survived by her mother, Lillian Lucille (Roark) Jones; her sisters, Vicki Gwaltney and Sharon Vanover-Wuerth; and many extended family members and friends.

Nila had a passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. Above all, she treasured spending time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with warmth and love.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 12 – 1 pm at McComas Family Funeral Homes in Abingdon. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, with interment at Bel Air Memorial Gardens at 2:30 PM.
