Nancy L. Thurman

Nancy Louise Thurman, 77, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Walter Riley and Nannie Louise (Carter) Riley.

She was the beloved wife of the late Terry Lee Thurman. Nancy and Terry were married for 47 wonderful years, having wed on December 9, 1967. Together, they built a life centered around faith, family, and love.

Nancy was a dedicated member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. She was a woman of deep faith and boundless love for her family. She took the greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nancy cherished family game nights, crafting, scrapbooking, flower gardening, and trips to the beach. She especially loved watching her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives, and was known for her impeccable organization skills.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Kimberly Treptow and her husband Brian, and Denise Thurman. Cherished grandmother of Desean Thurman, Cierra Thurman, Mariah Treptow, Kirstin Treptow, Sadé Jennings, Faith Treptow, and Aryanna Thurman. Adored great-grandmother of Jayda Oliver, Jayla Oliver, and Khamari Jones. Also, Nancy’s beloved pets Shane And Holly.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to Seven Mile Walk with Jesus or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Aberdeen.

Nancy’s loving spirit, devotion to her family, and vibrant presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
