Nancy Streett

October 4, 1935 — June 28, 2022

Nancy Streett, age 86, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2022, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel (Hamilton) Keen and wife of Richard Streett, Jr. for 65 years. Nancy's primary concern was to take care for her family, cherishing all the times she spent with them and all the love she poured into their lives. She was the matriarch of her family and would have the whole family of 35 over for Christmas dinner. She also hosted many other family holidays and events.  Nancy was a member of and attended Emory United Method Church since she was 4 (82 years). She was part of the United Methodist Women’s Organization and for a time was the Sunday school superintendent. She played a big part in organizing the history of the church, helping run church suppers and picnics, as well as sang in the choir. Nancy was very involved in planning her class reunions for Highland and North Harford schools. In her younger years she was a 4-H Fair volunteer. Nancy found enjoyment in doing all types of handwork, including knitting, needlepointing, cross-stitching, and crocheting. She also found fulfillment in cooking and baking for family and friends as well as canning. Nancy loved to travel, whether it was with family or friends, and over the years traveled to most of the United States including Hawaii and Alaska. She especially enjoyed visiting Rehoboth Beach every year with her family.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Denise Streett and Janet Streett; son, David Streett (MaryRose); grandsons, Joshua (Sarah) Streett and Gregory Streett; great-grandsons, Landon Streett and Caleb Streett.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Rigdon (Jim) and Charlotte (George) Baldwin; brothers, George (Edith) Keen, Carl (Nancy) Keen, Howard (Katherine) Keen, and Warren (Irene) Keen.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery fund.
