Morsie Biggs Jr., age 74, of Abingdon, MD passed away on December 29, 2013 at his home. Born in Halifax, NC, he is the son of Magnolia Johnson Biggs of Woodlawn, MD and the late Morsie Biggs Sr. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served our country during the Vietnam War. He retired, after 33 years, from the U.S. Postal Service where he was a Registered Mail Clerk. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church where he was involved in the Upper Room Ministry and was a Lay Speaker, Blue Chip Investment Club of Abingdon where he was President, Pershing Rifle Group at Morgan State University, Boy Scout Leader, Troop 603 and the Northwood Baseball Little League where he also coached.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Biggs is survived by his wife of 50 years, Delores E. Jackson Biggs; son, Karl M. Biggs of Aberdeen; daughter, Tracey D. Biggs of Abingdon; brother, Sylvester Biggs Sr. of Woodlawn; sister, Shirley Taylor of Randallstown; and grandchildren, Sydney N. Biggs and Darrius O.R. Biggs both of Aberdeen.
