Minnie F. Mathews

Minnie F. Mathews, age 93, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Born in Marion, Virginia, Minnie was the ninth of ten children of the late William Patterson Fouse and Mary Elizabeth (Richardson) Fouse. She had been a resident of Harford County since 1953 where she met Donald Eugene Mathews while rollerskating, and built a wonderful life here with her family.

Minnie married Donald in 1954, and together they shared 72 years of marriage in Maryland and Pennsylvania. She (they) enjoyed square dancing with the Dublin Dancers and she was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was known for decorating cakes and helping others.

Minnie is survived by her loving husband, Donald Mathews; sons, Larry Mathews and his wife, Dianne, Robert Mathews and his wife, Debbie, and Ronald Mathews; grandchildren, Timothy Mathews and his wife, Eun Joo Kim, Ryan Mathews and his partner, Heather Simpson, Elizabeth Mathews, Jonathan Mathews and his wife, Anoushka, and David Mathews; great-grandchildren, Katherine Mathews and Brielle Mathews; and her sister, Martha Werback snd her husband, John.

In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her sisters, Lily Snow, Nora Tuggle and Katherine Tuggle; and brothers, Francis Fouse, Harry Fouse, Garland Fouse, William Fouse, Henry Lee Fouse.
