Minnie “Joann” Alley, age 93, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Born in Austinville, Virginia, Minnie was the beloved daughter of the late Pierce Poole and the late Mary (Slate) Poole.

Minnie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Thurl Alley; her daughter, Patricia Reynolds; and her eight siblings.

She is survived by her loving son, Douglas Alley and his wife, Melissa; her loving daughter, Darlene Burleson and her husband, Thomas; and grandchildren Madison Alley, and Adam Reynolds.

Minnie retired in 1992 from Westinghouse Electrical, where she worked as a packer for 15 years. She was a faithful member of Riverside Community Church and was actively involved with the Sage Seniors. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading her Bible and completing word search puzzles. She will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
